Milena Canta

Milena has been an instructor for eight years teaching ballet, jazz, musical theatre and tap for companies throughout the lower mainland. She was vocally trained in Opera, Jazz and Musical Theatre and in the last five years, has developed a passion for fitness and healthy living.

Nycole Maglalang

Nycole has recently returned home from life at sea with Royal Carribean Cruise Lines. Prior to her departure, she was the recipient of numerous Triple and Future threat awards as a result of her incredible well-rounded dance training. She shares her love of dance with her husband and 1 year-old son.

Kristina Nishi-Beckingham

Hip Hop

Recent graduate from String Kings Academy, Kristina has hip hop training in the following styles: waacking, house, krump, popping, breaking, locking, old school, new school and jookin. She’s worked closely with many iconic hip hop artists and has represented Team Canada twice at IDO Competiton.

Born in Winnipeg MB, Cherie fell in love with dance at the age of 4. She has trained across Western Canada and spent a year training in London England. Cherie has been teaching and choreographing in the lower mainland for the past 17 years. She teaches Vaganova Ballet, Pointe, Pas De Deux/Adage, Contemporary, Lyrical, Jazz, Tap, and Musical Theatre.

Sarah Stonehouse

Dancer
Instructor

Originally from Calgary, AB, Sarah has a background in various styles of dance such as ballet, jazz, tap and hip hop. She shares her love for dance at local studios and is great at working with children. She is currently attending Simon Fraser University for business with a minor in Kinesiology. She encourages her students by providing personalized feedback and making the classroom a fun place to be.

Hala Siblani

Ballet

Instructor

A current Vela student and aspiring professional dancer, Hala has been studying ballet since the age of 4. She shares her love for dance and is great at working with children. She is currently attending Simon Fraser University for Kinesiology while continuing her ballet training. She has a great connection working with younger children and is excited to share her knowledge with the baby ballerinas.

Crimson grew up in Vermilion, Alberta and started dancing at the age of 3. Crimson moved to Vancouver to further her dance training at Harbour Dance Centre in the Intensive Training Program under the direction of Moe Brody. Crimson is currently training with Joanne Pesusich and the Source Dance Company.  With a strong technical background, Crimson emphasizes the importance of proper body alignment and positioning.

Robyn Chambers

Polynesian

Instructor

Robyn has been enjoying the local dance since for 46 years.  She has studied Polynesian, Tap, Jazz, Ballet, Square and Round dancing.  When she was 2 and her sisters were 9 and 11, she just had to keep up and has been dancing ever
since!  She has had many opportunities to travel, compete and study from amazing, inspiring master dancers.  Robyn feels that dancing is life and we should never quit regardless of age, gender or body shape!

Tamara began her dance training at 4 years old and she has been living and breathing dance ever since. She is a competitive gymnast and was an elite Cheerleader with the Vancouver All Stars International Worlds Team - a four-time International Champion. With appearances in film and TV, Tamara has appeared as a dancer and cheerleader. She strives for self motivation within her students, and is a firm believer in strength & conditioning as a foundation of all things tumbling and acro!

Brittany Wyllie

Since the age of 3, Brittany has been training and performing in many styles of dance.While continuing to grow as a dancer, she began teaching various styles

while attending the accelerated post secondary Industry Dance Training Program of Vancouver. She has since had the privilege to work for Carnival Cruise Lines, and Princess Cruise Lines where she had the opportunity to work with various choreographers and teachers from around the world. She is particularly proud to have been apart of the premier team for Stephen Shwartz’ “Born to Dance”.
